Allana played in Australia at Rugby Sevens, but then knee injuries made her be absent for a few seasons, before she switched to the Rugby League. The first time Allana played in a rugby league game for women was in the year 2015. She was a good player against Queensland and represented New South Wales. Allana added radio to the game, and has regular appearances as part of 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Allana has a full teaching qualification outside of sports. Allana Ferguson is the only Australian to represent Australia in both rugby sevens and in rugby league in addition to touch.
